CapeTrainX is a concept. That means it can frame a regional mobility problem and propose relationships between places. It does not mean the proposal has passed the tests required for delivery.
Seven different claims
Proposed describes what an idea suggests. Feasibility asks whether it can and should work. Approved records formal decisions. Funded requires committed resources. Procurement appoints works or services through an authorised process. Construction is physical delivery. Operational means a commissioned service is carrying passengers.
Using one term as shorthand for another erases uncertainty and can mislead communities, decision-makers and potential partners.
The CapeTrainX position
Only concept development is active. Feasibility has not been completed; approval and funding are not claimed; procurement and construction have not begun; and CapeTrainX is not an operating railway.
What changes the status
Status should change only when verifiable evidence exists. Future updates would identify the decision, responsible institution and source rather than relying on promotional language.
